Joystick Viewer
The Joystick Viewer shows real-time operator input and robot control state. Use it when you need visibility into steering commands without combining the control view with a video feed.
This viewer is useful for:
- Verifying that joystick commands reach the robot.
- Monitoring manual control during testing or supervised operation.
- Debugging command direction, speed limits, and operator input behavior.
Configuration
- Open the Monitoring tab.
- Click Add Viewer.
- Select Joystick Viewer.
- Choose the joystick or command stream used by the robot.
- Save the Monitoring preset.
When to Use Teleoperation Instead
Use the Teleoperation Viewer when the operator needs a live video feed and active joystick controls in the same viewer.
Use the Joystick Viewer when the main goal is observing control input or validating command output.
